Dump trailer rentals in Yuba City
Five dump trailers, 6×12 and 7×14, with 2, 4 or 5 ft walls. Load it at your place, back it up at the transfer station, and tip the whole load out in seconds.
Why rent a dump trailer instead of using your truck
A pickup bed holds about two cubic yards and has to be unloaded by hand. A 7×14 dump trailer with 4 ft walls holds roughly 14 cubic yards and unloads itself. For any job bigger than one truckload, that saves you trips, your back, and the scratches in your truck bed.
People in Yuba City rent ours most for:
- Garage, shed and estate cleanouts. Old furniture, broken appliances, years of storage.
- Remodel debris. Drywall, tile, flooring, cabinets and countertops from a kitchen or bath tear-out.
- Yard work. Branches, brush, leaves, sod and fence boards from a landscape tear-out.
- Roofing jobs. Shingles and underlayment, loaded right off the roof edge.
- Hauling material in. Gravel, bark, base rock or dirt from a landscape supply yard.
Dump trailer sizes
| Trailer | Walls | GVWR | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7×14 | 2 ft | 14,000 lb | Heavy material: dirt, gravel, concrete, roofing |
| 7×14 | 4 ft | 14,000 lb | Remodel debris and mixed cleanouts |
| 7×14 | 5 ft | 16,000 lb | The biggest cleanouts and bulky junk |
| 6×12 | 2 ft | 14,000 lb | Smaller jobs and tighter driveways |
| 6×12 | 5 ft | 12,000 lb | Bulky, lighter loads in a shorter trailer |
GVWR is the most the trailer can weigh with your load in it. The trailer’s own weight counts, so your real payload is less than the number on the plate. If you’re hauling dirt or concrete, the trailer will hit its weight limit long before it looks full, so ask us before you fill it to the top.
Taller walls or shorter walls?
Pick by what you’re hauling, not by how big the pile looks.
- Light and bulky (furniture, brush, cardboard, mattresses): taller walls. You’ll run out of space before you run out of weight.
- Heavy and dense (dirt, rock, concrete, roofing, wet green waste): 2 ft walls. Easier to shovel into, and you won’t be tempted to overload it.
- Mixed remodel debris: 4 ft walls are the safe middle.
Where to dump your load
Most of our customers unload at the Recology Yuba-Sutter transfer station, 3001 N. Levee Road in Marysville. It’s open every day for public drop-off, about 15 minutes from Yuba City. They charge by load, so call them at (530) 743-6933 for current pricing before you go. If you have mattresses, Yuba and Sutter county residents can drop off up to four there at no charge.
Tarp your load before you leave. California requires loads to be covered or secured so nothing blows out on the highway, and the transfer station may charge more for an uncovered load.
Pair it with a machine
If the job is a dirt pile, a demo, or a yard full of brush, rent the mini skid steer with the dump trailer. Load the trailer with the bucket instead of a shovel, run it to the transfer station, and come back for the next load. Don’t want to drive to the dump at all? Our junk removal drop-off is a flat $545 and we do the hauling.

Questions
How much does it cost to rent a dump trailer in Yuba City?
Dump trailers are $110–150 a day, $430–610 a week and $1,300–1,700 a month. The price depends on which trailer you take: taller walls and the heavier 16K trailer cost more. Text what you’re hauling and we’ll quote the exact trailer.
Which size dump trailer do I need?
For a garage cleanout or yard waste, a 2 ft wall trailer is usually plenty and it’s easier to load over the side. For bulky remodel debris or a big cleanout, go with 4 or 5 ft walls. If you’re hauling dirt, concrete or roofing, take a lower wall: heavy material reaches the weight limit long before the trailer looks full.
What can’t I put in a dump trailer?
Skip hazardous waste: paint, oil, chemicals, batteries, propane tanks and anything with asbestos. The transfer station won’t take them in a mixed load either. Ask the station about appliances and tires before you load them, since they’re usually charged separately.
Do I need a special hitch for a dump trailer?
These trailers are heavy and have electric brakes. You need a tow vehicle rated for the trailer plus the load, usually a 3/4-ton or bigger truck for a loaded 7×14, a 7-pin plug and a working brake controller. Tell us your truck when you book and we’ll confirm it’s a match.
Can I keep a dump trailer for a whole remodel?
Yes. The weekly rate is $430–610 and the monthly rate is $1,300–1,700, which works out to much less per day than renting a dumpster and paying for swap-outs.
